-initial visit
At your initial visit, the doctor will take a thorough case history and make a diagnosis based on your signs and symptoms. In most cases you would then receive treatment such as acupuncture, moxabustion or cupping along with herbal medicine as needed.
-treatment plan
During your first appointment the doctor will develop a treatment plan to manage your condition. A first course of treatment generally lasts 6-8 treatments. Treatment frequency can range from once a week to once a day depending on your condition. Chinese medicine is not a miracle cure, but much the same as a course of antibiotics, takes a course of treatment to get the desired results. The treatment plan helps us monitor your treatment with the aim of getting you better and off of it.
-follow up appointments
Subsequent visits generally involve a shorter consultation time. At this point we are most interested in any changes that have occurred so that the treatment can be adjusted accordingly.
